tooooo hot, too hot

This sudden heat wave just screams earthquake weather, and it's freaking me out. It's also making me super groggy and cranky. I can't stand stifling heat. The sun feels like it's ten times brighter and bigger than it was a week ago. I miss the rain.....I love cold weather.

I realized today that I need to buy myself some shorts. I never wear shorts, and so I don't own any (unless you count my men's cargo "shorts" that go down to my calves -- I guess there's no name for the male version of capris...). But I've lost weight since last summer, and my legs are all nice and toned due to the promotion and all the hard labor it requires (squat, stand, squat, stand, etc., etc., blah), so.....I shall venture out and wear something above the knee! Too bad my legs haven't seen the sun in forever.

Oh, but I do have some really cute skirts that I bought this fall and have been waiting and waiting to wear. My favorite: a knee-length grayish-purple corduroy skirt. Yippee.

Well, I'm pooped. I need to lay down for a bit, and then jump in the shower. Ta ta.
